Pros and Cons of Podium Shirts

The ever intriguing question of what to wear and what not to for any cause or, any occasion whatsoever has also ventured in the field of sports and fitness. ‘Looking’ fit and firm before ‘being’ fit and firm happen to be the driving force behind the fitness schedule of one and all. Today, the market is full of sports and work out wear that are structured in ways that produce an illusion of being in shape even if there are layers and layers of loose fat, love handles, paunch, bat wings, wobbly thighs this that and what not. It is basically the interplay of masterful stitching and striking color combinations that end up producing such dramatic results. However, on many occasions, driven by the factor of illusion, people have often landed up buying uncomfortable, dysfunctional clothing at jaw dropping prices. These have also been the times when the fans of illusions sat back and considered getting back to the good old podium shirts.

Running on the pavement and tip toeing on the ramp are two very different things. This is also the reason why the garments designed for these two forms of locomotion are way different from each other. Running, brisk walking, gymming, cycling, trekking etc. are activities that one can best conduct by wearing podium wear than anything else. The popularity of these shirts can be owed too many reasons than one. Firstly, podium shirts are always made of soft, absorbent and breathable materials. They are often made of stretchable materials too which is an added advantage to many. Secondly, these shirts can also become one’s live-in shirts because the level of comfort they offer cannot be compared with any other. On top of all this, one can always fall back on these shirts for rough use and expect them to last even with all the grilling (provided the shirts are obtained from reliable providers).

On the flip side, these shirts may not be a big hit with those who fall into the I-Love-Illusion category. This is to say that, these shirts are usually loose fitting and cannot complement shapes and illusionary shapes as one may expect.
